For a long time, Indian women had been engulfed in the whirlpool of pain and suffering that was orthodox society. Despite the fact that much has been done to alleviate their plight since the time of William Bentick to curb the evil practises against women, and that social reformer like Raja Ram Mohan Roy advocated for widow remarriages and the restoration of her rights. However, the pace of reformation remains slow. Women's voices have yet to be heard, despite the fact that women in India have been fortunate enough to hold high and honourable positions of power. However, the fact remains that traditional bound society has yet to fully liberate Indian women. There are undeniable differences between male and female temperaments, and these differences are evident in everything that both sexes attempt. Aside from the necessary technical standards, what matters in art is the expression of the individual temperament.
