Creative Saplings (CS) (e-ISSN: 0974-536X | CODEN: CSABCJ) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access, monthly journal of English language and literature, published from India. The journal maintains a rigorous double-blind peer review process and is committed to advancing scholarship in literary studies, postcolonial criticism, ecocriticism, cultural studies, translation studies, and related humanistic disciplines. Creative Saplings publishes original, unpublished research articles and critical essays by scholars, academics, and researchers from across the globe.

Creative Saplings is a fully open-access journal committed to the free and unrestricted dissemination of scholarly research. All articles published in Creative Saplings are immediately and permanently available online at no cost to readers or authors. There are no subscription fees, access charges, article processing charges (APC), or hidden fees of any kind.

Anyone may visit the journal website, read, cite, download, distribute, or utilise published content freely, subject to the terms of the CC BY-NC 4.0 licence. The journal adheres to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access and supports the principle that knowledge must be freely accessible to all. Publication History and Platform Migration

Creative Saplings was founded in 2007, and the Online ISSN 0974-536X was assigned by ISSN India in the same year. The first peer-reviewed annual issue was published in 2008. The journal published annual issues continuously from 2008 to 2021. Annual issues are currently available in the archive for the following years: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021.

Note on Missing Issues (2011, 2013, 2014, 2016). Issues for these years were editorially produced and distributed to subscribers at the time of publication. These issues are not currently retrievable in digital form owing to data loss resulting from a technical failure of the journal's original website platform. The editorial board is actively working to recover and re-archive these issues.

In 2022, with the formal permission of ISSN India, Creative Saplings was relaunched on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. The publication frequency was changed from annual to monthly, and volume numbering restarted at Volume 1 (2022) to reflect the new platform and publication cycle. Since April 2022, Creative Saplings has published every scheduled monthly issue without interruption.

The journal's ISSN, intellectual identity, editorial standards, and institutional affiliation remain uninterrupted and consistent from 2007 to the present.
